Es correcto decir: ¿Probablemente estás en tu camino a la universidad y tienes vida propia? The context reads exactly like this: " . . . probably on your way to college and a life of your own." Thanks!

Hello Pharris,

You were PRETTY close to the context rendering of the original English-based line.

One more appropriate way to phrase it would be:

1-¿Probablemente estés ya en rumbo a la universidad y tengas una vida propia?
2-¿Probablemente estés en camino a la universidad y tengas vida propia?

"estar en rumbo a" is normally used to express that something or someone in "working to accomplish" or "be on his/her way to" with determination.

"tener vida propia" is the most literal rendering of "having a life of one's own"
