Tip #244: Privacy in Translation? Part II

Postby wordmagicsoft » Thu Jan 28, 2010 1:52 pm

Applies to all Word Magic Text Translators

In our last tip we mentioned that one of the main advantages of having your paid-for, registered translation software installed in your own desk computer --- besides immediate accessibility, customization, flexibility, user-friendliness and customer service—is PRIVACY, with capital letters.

Privacy is becoming one of main assets of modern life. In stark contrast with all the new social networks where personal information is shared to the open world through multitude of channels, one still needs to have his or her own private space for work, where one must keep confidential or business information which one would not like to be shared with others, much less leave a copy of the document in a non-secure place such as the hard disk of a third-party mega corporation.

If Privacy is important for your business, your clientele, your patients, etc, then you cannot afford the risk of translating your documents or your correspondence through a free Internet live translation service. Who knows what or who could eventually have access to them… even if that possibility lies far away in the future.

Our Tip for this week: Same as we said last week: Using a Text Translator such Word Magic’s, at least you can have an absolute assurance of privacy, since the program does not require connection to the Web. It’s all in your hard disk.
