get enough of

Hola,
tengo una duda con esta frase:
"They could never get enough of them".

Gracias

"I´m always glad i´m not a squib, like Crazy-Daisy. He squeaks through lack of nose". Sam imitated the squeak of Craven Day, an ld clerk down at the Bureu of Fisheries, politely called, by about one hundred intimates, Crazy-Daisy. He was a rusty, tall, round-backed permanent functionary, who became more eccentric as he approached the age of fifty. Sam went by the name of Softsopa-Sam. The children´s eye danced with excitement; they could never get enough of Crazy-Daisy, or of Ratty-Atty (Mr. George Atson), another account, or of Skinny, or Finny..."

Espero tu ayuda
Gracias por tu interés.

"to not be able to get a enough of someone" is like saying you like them, love them, adore them, etc. So I would translate it like this:

...les adoraban a Crazy-Daisy, a Ratty-Atty, etc...
o
